Leader of proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) KK Nganba was brought to Imphal from Tihar Jail, Delhi today.
A resident of Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak, 56-year old KK Nganba alias Chongtham Manglemjao alias Koi alias Ngouba alias Irabot who is the leader of KCP (Mangang) group and self styled general secretary of KCP organisation which is under unification process, was arrested by a combined team of Bishnupur District Police Commandos, Delhi Police (Special Branch) and 57 Mountain Division of the Army along with three other persons on January 17 this year during 'Operation Grand Slam' launched at the National capital.

KK Nganba was brought to Imphal by Additional SP of Bishnupur District Police Md Isaac Shah from Tihar Jail today and as he came out from the arrival counter of Tulihal Airport at around 1 pm, a team of Bishnupur Police, awaiting there whisked away the KCP leader.
Later during the day, a court in Bishnupur granted remand of KK Nganba in police custody for four days.
The president elect of the KCP under unification process Naorem Amumacha alias Yambung (56) of Kakwa Naorem Leikai, a former PLA cadre who had undergone military training in China was among those arrested along with KK Nganba by the combined security force.
But he had already been brought to Imphal on February 26 last and is currently in jail.
Besides, KK Nganba and Amumacha, the combined security force arrested Ngariyanbam Ratan of Thangmeiband Lairenhanjaba Leikai who is the assistant of Nganba and one Ibomcha (35), who is said to be a younger brother of Nganba while they were initiating unification of KCP groups led by Mangang, Lamphel and City Meitei at the National capital.
Not long after their arrest, another team of Bishnupur police commandos, Army and Bangalore Police had also arrested leader of KCP City Meitei faction and Mobile Task Force, Naorem Brojen alias City Meitei alias James alias Hobby (32) from Bangalore on January 19 last.
