Showing solidarity to the agitation launched against fuels price hike by the Popular Front of India, members of the state unit of the front today staged a sit-in protest at Lilong Bazar.
Speaking to reporters at the protest site, secretary of the front, state unit, Benjamin M Shah said the sit-in protest was carried out as a part of countrywide protest launched by the Popular Front of India against the hiking of the prices of the fuels which would resulted in the skyrocketing the prices of the essential
good items.
He also said that the unit will take up step to check prices of the goods fixed at their own wills by the shopkeepers and businessmen at Lilong area.
He further informed that the front is planning to launch countrywide protest against enforcement of AFSPA in the state.
Members of the state unit of the front coming from different parts of the state took part in the protest.
