Imphal, April 24 2022: While welcoming the recent initiative of the state government to make all the block and sub-divisional level offices fully functional, elated local residents of Sawombung area under Lamlai assembly constituency carried out a cleanliness drive at different government offices on Sunday.

Residents of several villages sanitised the offices of BDO, SDO, SDC, and sub-registrar among others in Sawombung block, which have been shifted to the DC office complex at Porompat in 2007 due to unstable law and order situation.

They conducted the cleanliness programme as a mark of welcoming the initiative of the government to make the offices fully functional at their respective locations.

They also appealed to the government to keep its words.
