JD-U national secretary to review poll preps

Imphal, November 10 2021:
Janata Dal (United) national secretary and Manipur in-charge Lok Sabha MP Ramprit Mandal will be visiting the state on November 13 to review present scenario and preparations and progress of JD (U) for the upcoming Assembly Election in 2022.A press release issued by JD (U) state co-ordinator M Surjit Singh informed that a special meeting was held on November 8 in Dibrugarh, Assam in the presence of national president and Lok Sabha MP Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Northeast executive council convener NSN Lotha and Manipur state president Hangkhanpao Taithul where it was reaffirmed that the party will contest in the Assembly Election 2022, to be held in five states including Manipur.
The meeting also held discussions on the demands of the public of Manipur and alleged failure of the BJP-led government in various sectors.
Unemployment, plight of job card holders, failure of Smart City project, substandard road connectivity, insufficient and low quality healthcare facility, education system, failure in implementations of centrally sponsored schemes, delay in ADC, Municipality and Nagar Panchayat Elections, among several others, were also discussed at the meeting.
A rally will also be organised in the second week of December which will be attended by Rajiv Ranjan and other national leaders of the party, the release further informed.
