Noney, July 10 2021:
At the advice of chief minister N Biren Singh, State BJP executive special invitee and social worker Gaidon Kamei on Saturday visited Noney district headquarters and inspected the progress of various infrastructure projects being taken up by the government in the district.
Gaidon inspected the ongoing construction project of Noney DC's office complex at Longmai Part-1 which is targeted to be inaugurated in October this year.
He expressed happiness on seeing the progress of the work.
Gaidon then inspected the Transit Accommodation building for doctors and teachers at Longmai Part-3 which is nearing completion and quarters for doctors and nurses.
He also visited the completed police guest house at Longmai Part-4 and unfinished building of Block Institute of Teacher Education (BITE) and Multipurpose Hall at Longmai Part-3.Speaking to media persons, Gaidon Kamei informed that the completed projects would be inaugurated by the CM most probably in the middle week of October this year.
He urged the work agencies and contractors to speed up the works of unfinished projects to meet the deadline and to maintain quality control.
Gaidon expressed his discontentment over the incomplete and poor quality works of the previous government which, he said, caused a huge loss to the state exchequer.
Every unfinished project should be completed and one should not politicise any developmental activity, he said.
The BJP leader further said that he will pressurise the government to expedite any infrastructural developmental projects in Noney district and warned those who have siphoned off public money will be seriously dealt with as they are depriving the weaker section of society of basic amenities.
The social worker also appealed to the general public to come forward for COVID vaccination and to co-operate in mass testing drive, while thanking the present government led by Biren Singh for its pro-people and development-oriented policies in bridging the gap between hills and valley.
He thanked the present government for making maximum efforts to bring peace in the state and focusing on the interior parts of the state to bring uniform development, adding that now even the interior parts of the state have blacktopped roads because of the consistent efforts of the government under the dynamic leadership of Biren Singh.
