Kakching MLA inaugurates bus shed, scans projects

Kakching, October 15 2021:
Kakching AC MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar on Friday inaugurated a waiting shed constructed near Yumbi Macha High School at the converging point of Kakching Bazar, Ningthou Leikai, Mayai Leikai and Makha Leikai.
He also inaugurated an election committee office of BJP at polling station no 37/15 in Kakching Mayai Leikai Pat Pareng, followed by an inspection of various development works being taken up in the constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Rameshwar noted that the location of the waiting shed is not only a place where people gather but also a popular waiting area for school buses/vans.
The shed was constructed with the aim of helping the young students and the people take shelter from the scorching sun and sometimes rain.
As the election date is inching closer, an election committee office of BJP was opened at Kakching Mayai Leikai Pat Pareng.
Meanwhile, blacktopping of roads of Kakching Mayai Leikai Pat will soon be taken up, he added.
Later, the MLA assessed the progress of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) being constructed at Community Health Centre, Kakching; Eco Tourism Destination near the CHC, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Youth Development Hall in Kakching Makha Leikai and the culvert near Kakching Makha Leikai Naodam Bazar.
Regarding the inspections, the MLA said that 15-bedded ICU Ward will soon be in augurated.
A PM Cares PSA Oxygen Plant built near the ICU ward was inaugurated on October 7.Meanwhile, the Eco Tourism Destination is being constructed with the support of the Tourism Department and MLA LADF, while Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Youth Development Hall is being constructed by MDS.
The Hall will have a Library and a Gym.
Efforts will be made to complete all works including the construction of a bridge across Shengmai river to connect Kakching Chumnang and Kakching Wairi, along with blacktopping of roads before the Election Code of conduct comes into effect.
Rameshwar then said that since he became an MLA seven-and a half month ago, various projects have been taken up.
If re elected, he will continue to work hard for developing Kakching AC into one of the foremost constituencies of the state, the MLA pledged.
