House-to-house health care service begins in IE

Imphal, October 15 2021:
As part of the recently launched 'CM Health for All' scheme, a team led by National Health Mission State Mission director Dr N Shyamjai has begun providing house-to-house health care service in Imphal East district on Friday.
Launching the service in a function jointly organised by Primary Health Care and Chronic Disease Management under the aegis of Health and Wellness Centre of Luwangshangbam and Achangbigei at the office of Luwangsangbam Gram Panchayat, Dr Shyamjai said that the.
'CM Health for All' scheme will be of great help to the people of the state.
He then said that ASHA workers have a huge role to play in ensuring the success of the scheme.
He informed that under this scheme, people can avail free medicines while undergoing in-house treatment.
If required, the patient could be referred to a health centre for further treatment.
ASHA workers are tasked with the responsibility of identifying the sick people who need the benefits of the scheme.
Early diagnosis will help prevent problems in the future, he added.
The function was attended by Imphal East District CMO Dr Indira Lourembam, Luwangshangbam Gram Panchayat pradhan S Angou, Department officials and members of the Panchayat.
