Active cases in state drop to 64

Imphal, September 02 2022:
Number of active Covid-19 cases declined to 64 on Friday as government bulletins reported seven new positive cases and 10 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
The seven new cases were detected out of 422 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering positivity rate of 1.7 !>er cent.
The 7 fresh cases 1 male & 6 females) are residents of Imphal West (2), Imphal East (2), Churachandpur (2) and Bishnupur (1) districts.
The 10 recoveries reported on Friday were discharged from home isolation (4) and JNIMS (2) while four others were already discharged cases pending for update.
Out of the 64 active cases, 36 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Friday and the toll from the pandemic stands at 2147 lives including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus had infected 1,39,724 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 33 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 58 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 122 D-type and 4 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2851 vaccine doses administered on Thursday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,32,633, out of which 13,06,831 had received the second dose and 2,46,545 taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based bn IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49787), Imphal East (32021), Thoubal (10289), Churachandpur (11272), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9972), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3363), Kakching (6972), Chandel (2792), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (476) .
