Medical camp held at Sendra

Imphal, September 01 2012:
On 31 Aug 2012, Security Forces of Red Shield Division organized a free medical camp for the people of Moirang and neighboring villages on the occasion of Pineapple Festival being hosted on 31st Aug 2012 at Sendra Mela Ground.
The medical camp started from 8 AM in the morning and was carried out till 5 PM.
During the camp more than 270 persons (Male 125, Female 131 and Children 14) were examined and treated.
Medical prescriptions and free medicines were distributed for diarrhoea, dysentry, respiratory tract infections, Malaria, viral fever, skin diseases, arthritis and Myalgias etc.
The team comprised of 02 Doctors and 8 Nursing assistants who attended to the people.
The medical camp was also aimed at bringing awareness regarding prevention of HIV/AIDS.
The efforts taken by the Assam Rifles for addressing medical ailments of villagers were highly appreciated by the Gram Pradhan and other eminent personalities of the area.
