All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has demanded the authority of DM College of Science, Imphal to allow admission of a girl from Thoubal district to the institute.
AMSU on Wednesday claimed that the girl student from Thoubal has been denied admission to DM College of Science by a clerical official of the institute.
The unnamed girl passed 12th standard from Aribam Higher Secondary School, Thoubal and she is seeking admission to B Sc 1st Semester.
Her name is in the selection list for admission to the B Sc 1st Year Semester at DM College of Science, AMSU general secretary, L Reagan told a press meet at the headquarters of the student body here in DM College campus.
Test for the admission was held on June 15 and the results were declared on June 19, Reagan said.
He accused a clerk of the institute of attempting to admit someone to the institute by cancelling the name of the girl.
He demanded the authority of the college to look into the matter and facilitate admission of the girl to the institute at the earliest.
