Free medical cum screening camp held

The 12 BIHAR of HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a "Free Medical cum Screening Camp" at an orphanage, Sneha Bhawan located in Sangaiprou, Imphal.
The PRO HQ IGAR (S) said the free camp for the children of Sneha Bhawan, Sangaiprou, Imphal was organised in collaboration with SRL diagnostics.
The camp aimed at screening of any medical ailments present in the 54 children who are part of the orphanage by the medical officer of 12th Battalion of The BIHAR Regiment.
Brigadier Vinod T Mathew, Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles also visited the orphanage and interacted with children present there and assured them of continuous support of Assam Rifles.
Meanwhile, the medical team of 12 BIHAR saved lives of two snake bite victims on October 1.The victims were identified as Khumukcham Ruhinidev (55), of Changganggai, Maning Leikai and Ritu (28) Irengbam, Imphal West.
They were brought to the medical room of 12 BIHAR in a critical condition.
The victims were readily attended by the medical team and necessary first aid and anti snake venom injections were administered, the statement added.
