Ride of Silence

Imphal, May 15 2018:
A Ride of Silence will be held on May 16 at 7 pm and interested cyclists have been asked to join from the Western gate of Kangla and then cycle up to Model Club ground, Singjamei Chingamaka.
The ride is a free ride and cyclists will wear helmets, follow traffic rules and the riders will remain silent throughout the ride.
The cycle rally is being planned aim to honour cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways, to raise awareness of cyclists on the road and to ask that the road be shared by everyone.
The Ride of Silence is taking place around the world simultaneously in 383 locations worldwide throughout 48 countries including Manipur, India for the first time.
