CLP resolves to protect territory

Imphal, September 04 2013:
The Congress Legislature's Party (CLP) has resolved to safeguard the State' territorial integrity during a meeting held at Chief Minister's Secretariat at 3 pm today.
The CLP meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, Education Minister M Okendro said that the CLP has resolved that not even an inch of land be given to Myanmar.
The Centre would be urged to look into the border issue and bring an amicable solution at the earliest.
The meeting also discussed about the implementation of National Food Security Act and law and order situation in the State.
Meanwhile, the State Cabinet meeting convened yesterday also resolved to implement the National Food Security Act in the State and penalize those people who are involved in the smuggling of PDS items.
The appointment of SO Grade-I for various engineering departments through Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) was also approved by the State Cabinet.
