KSO-SH hails Lina, regrets

The Kuki Students' Organization- Sadar Hills (KSO-SH) lauding Miss Lamneilhing Chongloi popularly called Miss Lina, on her winning and bringing several laurels in the field of beauty pageants at national and state level contests, regretted absence of rejoicings from the side of civil society organisations of Manipur inspite of the fact that Miss Lina represented and earned glory for the State.
"She is not just a beauty queen but a representative and face as well as pride and honour of Manipur", lauded KSO-SH president Thangminlen Kipgen noting that beauty pageants are not like beauty contests of yesteryears in which beauty was enough to win the crown.
it needs lots of brain and knowledge as well as myriad of qualities, he said and conveyed : "The Kuki Students' Organization Sadar Hills really appreciates your achievements and acknowledges the laurels you have brought at national level.
It is not only for your family, village and society but it is for the entire state of Manipur" .
Wishing Miss Lina success in her future endeavours, the KSO unit, however, expressed resentment against lack of appreciation from civil society organisations of Manipur on the success and achievement of the tribal girl from remote village.
the student body maintained said that had Miss Lina been from a majority group her success would have evoked tremendous appreciation from various section of society and the state government as well as handsome incentive for her next preparation.
Thangminlen urged the State Government to acknowledge achievements of Miss Lina Chongloi and to encourage her achieve more achievements and success in her career and to bring much more laurels for the state.
He further urged the state government to give incentive to Miss Lina Chongloi at the earliest in an acceptable and satisfactory way so that she can somehow manage to prepare in a better way in her preparation to participate at the Miss Akhand Bharat likely to be held this month and at Miss Glory of Universe to be held at Paris very soon.
KSO-SH reminded all concerned that 'this tribal beauty from the remote village of Sadar Hills had won "Miss Talented" in the Queen of Mystic East on January 20, 2011, bagged the coveted tiara of "Miss of Bharat 2013" on june 24, 2013 and the "4th Miss India North East" title on july 28,2013 .
