Parliamentary Secretary M Prithiviraj today distributed prizes to winners of the photo competition and essay competition held in connection with the Manipur Sangai Festival 2013 at the Secretariat, New Block.
The photo competition was held under three different themes while the essay competition was held on the topic "Tourism can be game changer in the economy of Manipur".
The photo competition held on the theme 'People including festivals' was won by The Sangai Express photographer N Basanta of Samaram Bamon Leikai.
The second prize was won by Binod Angom of Soibam Leikai, Wangkhei Khunou.
Photo competition held on the theme 'Nature including landscape of Manipur' was won by Poknapham photographer RK Bullu of Keishamthong while the second prize was won by Lourembam Santoshkumar of Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak.

The photo competition held on the theme "Significant tourist spots/destinations of Manipur was won by Lourembam Vusan of Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak.
The second and third prizes were won by Mairenbam Bishwajit of Moirang Bazar and M Ranjit of Keishamthong Top Leirak.
The essay competition was won by H Dileshore, Lecturer of Advance Intermediate College, Moirang while the second prize was won by class VIII student of KM Blooming Higher Secondary School, Khangabok W Henary Chanu.
All the first prizes carry cash incentive of Rs 25,000 and a citation.
The second prizes cash incentive of Rs 15000 and a citation while the third prizes have cash component of Rs 5000 .
Speaking at the occasion, M Prithiviraj said that this year's Sangai festival was a grand success.
He claimed that the number of visitors increased by 30 per cent as compared to the previous edition.
