Anguished over the poor and deteriorating road condition of the Maram Purul road, the Purul Youth and Student's Organization (PYSO), sacrificed a laborious day to repair the said road with its own resources.
According to PYSO officials, the Maram to Purul road was not at all welcoming for the coming festive season, for which it decided to undertake voluntary social service by repairing the said road with one JCB, two Shaktimans and 157 youth members.
The officials also stated that the road, despite being maintained by PWD department, it was left unrepaired with many potholes for many years.
Moreover, the said potholes were posing serious threat to the safety of the busy travelers along the circular road which connects most of the villages of Chilivai circle, Lepaona circle and some parts of Paomata circle villages.
Considering the hardship of the people, the PYSO was compelled to organise the one day mass social service and manage the repairing from Koide Chakho to Purul portion.
The premier youth body also thanked the Purul ADC members RK Kaba, Purul VA and Rev Fr Simon for extending financial and material supports.
