Protest held against non-allocation of vendors in Thoubal New Market

Alleging discrepancies and irregularities in the allocation of market plots and vendor seats of the newly inaugurated Thoubal Market Complex, a sit-in-protest was staged today at Thoubal Wangmataba.
Inaugurated today by the Chief Minister O Ibobi, the convenor of Proposers Committee for Dukan Plots and Market Vendor Seats at New Thoubal Market Complex L Kunjabati said that the commitee received specific information from reliable sources that the allocation of plots and vendor seats were wrongly allocated to the new vendors of Khangabok area.
She asserted that plots and vendor seat owners of the previous Thoubal Market hailing from Thoubal Moijing, Thoubal Thoudam, Thoubal Ningombam, Thoubal Sabaltongba, Thoubal Achouba Kshetri Leikai, Thoubal Okram and Thoubal Nongdangkhong were left out from the new allocation.
Highlighting the insulting situation of selling goods on the streets who had their own market plots and vendor seats, Kunjabati further stated that the plot and vendor seat license owners of Thoubal area could not accept the decision of Chief Minister O Ibobi.
