Tamenglong DC, SP replaced

Imphal, September 26 2021: Amid the public outrage over the abduction of Athuan Abonmai from Tamenglong town and his subsequent murder in a Tamei sub-divisional area, head of the district administration namely deputy commissioner Armstrong Pame and superintendent of police Mohurle Sandip Gopaldas were relieved and transferred from their present posting.

An order issued by department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms deputy secretary Ph Bhavananda Sharma notified transfer of Armstrong Pame as special secretary of RD & PR/Power and SMD/MSRLM in addition.

He has been replaced by Hungyo Worshang, who was previously the deputy commissioner of Kamjong.

In another order issued by DP joint secretary Anna Arambam, SP Gopaldas has been shifted to SP/CID (Technical) and Anupam entrusted to take over as SP Tamenglong with immediate effect.

Along with the transfer and posting of DC Tamenglong, 12 other IAS officers were also given transfer orders.

Mannu-amching has been assigned as additional secretary of Horticulture & SC and Cooperation in addition whereas Joseph Pauline been posted as DC Pherzawl; Kengoo Zuringla as additional secretary TA & Hills and director Trade, Commerce and Industries in addition; Naorem Praveen Singh as additional CEO Manipur; and Nellenthang Tellen as joint secretary of Finance/Vigilance and director of vigilance in addition.

The other transferred/posted IAS officers include Yumnam Robita as Bishnupur deputy commissioner; Arambam Valentina as registrar of Cooperative Societies; L Bikram as deputy commissioner of Tengnoupal; Ng Roben Singh as commissioner of Taxes and managing director of MSCB in addition; Ahanthem Subhash Singh as deputy commissioner of Thoubal; Rangnamei Rang Peter as Kamjong DC; and Krishna Kumar as Ukhrul DC .
