CCpur, February 26 2018: The 15 days skill development training programme on "Bamboo and Cane Craft for Rural Youths" which started on February 12 concluded today.

Sponsored by NABARD, the programme was organized at ICAR-KVK Churachandpur, ICAR RC for NEH Region.

The function was graced by Assistant Commissioner Churachandpur, Ajay Arora, Assistant General Manager NABARD Thangchinkhup Guite as guest of honour and Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Churachandpur Dr NiranjanLal as president.

20 trainees from 11 different villages of Churachandpur participated in the training.

The objective of the training is to make the youth self-reliant and provide them a source of income.

The training was given to upgrade the existing crafts and also imparting skills to new craftsprson with the objective of expanding the production.

The participants were trained for making bamboo and cane crafts under the supervision of two master trainers.
