MSF commemorated its 16th Anniversary

The 16th Foundation Day of Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) was celebrated at Manipur Dramatic Union, Hall at Yaiskul here today, with the flag hoisting programme held earlier at the MSF office at Top Leirak Imphal by the president of the students' body.
During the celebration, KT Rahman, Advisor of AMUCO and AMMDO; Laishram Lukhoi, Chief Advisor of MSF; Th.Premananda, Convenor of Joint Students Cordinating Committee; Kh.
Sirajuddin, MSF President and L.Memchoubi, president of Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Lup attended as the presidium members.
In his speech, KT Rahman said students unions of various communities residing in Manipur should come together to work for the welfare of the state, as Manipur is presently in turmoil.
If the students bodies do not work in unison, the state will lag behind in almost all fields, he opined.
He emphasized that the education department of the state should include the school syllabus relating to the history of seven years dissertation, Khongjom war, Manipur's merger into India etc., so that the students understand their historical episodes.
Saying that Manipur is composed of diverse communities which have remained in this land for a number of years, AMUCO Advisor expressed his desire for a unified Manipur which can face it's all challenges.
MSF President Sirajudin told the gathering that the student body's academic campaign for 'proper education' will continue, while adding that MSF would open its website to enable students up to class X to read their text books at the website free of cost.
The student leader also appealed to people of all communities to extend support to the students' body in taking up its works for the people.
