Nagaland has not fared badly in terms of providing connectivity to uncovered habitations under the flagship programme, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), as compared to other Northeastern states.
This was revealed in the Action Plan reports of the conference of thematic groups (North East Region Vision 2020), held December 3 and 4, at North Eastern Council (NEC) auditorium, Shillong.

The state still has 25 habitations (three habitations of 500-999 population and 22 habitations of 250-499 population) to be connected by roads.
In contrast, the numbers of habitations yet to be connected in other Northeastern states are Assam - 4567, Arunachal Pradesh -158, Manipur - 373, Mizoram -134, Meghalaya - 607, Sikkim - 108 and Tripura - 362 .
