KSO warns of intense agitations

Kuki Students' Organization (KSO) Sadar Hills today warned of to imposing a 24-hr total bandh which will subsequently be followed by indefinite economic blockade along all National Highways leading to the state capital within Sadar Hills if the State Govt.failed to materialize the demands of the student body before March 27 .
The student body demanded the state Government to post adequate doctors at Community Health Centre(CHC) Kanggui, where currently only two doctors are pressed into service, to reinstate all the powers entitled to Addl.DC Kangpokpi, which were recently cancelled, as well as to rectify the term of Addl.DC Kangpokpi to Addl.DC Sadar Hills.
Thangminlen Kipgen, president of the student body, said the demands of the student body are urgent needs of the people of Sadar Hills but Okram Ibobi Singh led Congress Govt has intentionally ignored the demands.
The student leader continued that due to non-availability of adequate doctors at CHC, Kanggui, emergency ward has been closed since yesterday, thus causing tremendous hardship to the general public.
Patients who need emergency treatment have to travel at least 45 Kms.
to reach the state capital for medical attention, Thangminlen Kipgen pointed out.
