Myanmar delegates leave Moreh to witness Sangai Festival

Two different teams from Myanmar reached Manipur's border town Moreh on Sunday to take part in the ongoing Sangai Festival 2015 in Imphal.
Secretary General of Indo-Myanmar Friendship Chamber of Commerce, Moreh Seiboi Haokip welcomed the team led by former MLA of Sagaing Division U Khin Maung at the Customs Office, Moreh.
Meanwhile, representatives of All Manipur United Club's Organisation (AMUCO) welcomed a team comprised of Mandalay Meeteis at Moreh Trade Centre.
Women of Moreh Ward No 6 Tali Road also presented "Phanek" as gifts to the Mandalay Meeteis while welcoming them.

The Mandalay Meetei team comprised of 15 women and 13 men.
They reached Moreh Trade Centre at around 12 noon while the other team led by former MLA of Sagaing Division U Khin Maung which comprised of 22 men and five women reached the Moreh Trade Centre at around 2 pm.
The Mandalay Meeteis team left Moreh for Imphal at around 4.30 pm while the other team left for the same destination at around 6.30 pm.
The reception ceremony was also attended by Chairman and General Secretary of Myanmar Indian Border Trade Chamber of Commerce Tamu U Hla Maung and U Teko respectively.
Secretary General of Indo-Myanmar Friendship Chamber of Commerce, Moreh Seiboi Haokip also wished the teams a pleasant tour during the Sangai Festival.
The Mandalay Meeteis expressed delight when they reached the border town.
They stated that the fear of dying without seeing Manipur or paying a visit to Govindajee temple will be over after the tour.
They also expressed their desire to pray at Govindjee temple and hold an "Utsap." AMUCO Vice President Ph Deban meanwhile expressed dismay with the State Government's attitude towards the Myanmar delegates.
