Imphal, July 07 2011:
The All Manipur District Council Teachers' Association, at its emergency executive body meeting held on July 1 at Hotel Tampha conference hall, Imphal, has expressed disappointment over the failure of the Government to release the pending 14 percent DA increment arrear for the period from January 1, 2011 to June 30, 2005 for the employees under the six Autonomous District Councils in Manipur.
According to a statement signed jointly by its president L Daihrii and secretary general Letkhosei Haokip, the Association said that the indifferent attitude of the Government towards the long standing demand for release of 14 percent of DA increment arrear inspite of submitting a number of memorandums is regrettable.
Nonetheless, the meeting resolved to submit a reminder to the Chief Minister for doing the needful in this regard.
Furthermore, the Association has expressed disappointment over the Government order of June 14, 2011 which directed change of nomenclature of School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) to School Management Committee (SMC) under SSA as well as over change of composition of School Management Committee of schools in the hill districts.
