Two drown in Twilang river

Sadar Hills, October 04 2016:
Two private school teachers drowned in Twilang River on October 2 and their dead bodies were found the next morning at around 9 .
The duo working as teachers at Grace Mission International School in Thonglang Atongba met with the disaster while swimming in the river beneath Chaljang Iron Crosswise Bridge on their return with friends from a private tour to Tamenglong.
The due were identified as Paul Rai (28) and Uttam Bal (27), s/o Arjun Ball, both from Poudel Basti in Irang Part-I under Sadar Hills administrative jurisdiction.
The bodies of the duo were recovered the next morning after a hectic search by more than 500 people from various surrounding villages.
Meanwhile, the local MDC, Sagar Gewali has condoled the death of the two youths and shared the grief and pain of the family members.
The local MDC also expressed gratitude to the villagers of Wakotphai, Phoikon, Makui, Chalwa, Chaljang, Govajang, Thenjang, New Thenjang, M Teikhang and KSO Twilang Block for their assistance in finding the bodies.
