Altogether 14 non-local labourers who did not possess valid identification documents were rounded up and handed over to police.
The non-local labourers were rounded up from Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak at around 4.30 pm today.
The non-local labourers who were travelling a Tata Magic van (MN-01X/6748) were halted and pulled up by members of Singjubung Youth Organisation and Khwai Singjubung Women Welfare Association.
Singjubung Youth Organisation general secretary Y Tomba said that the non-local labourers were in possession of forged Aadhar cards or voter ID cards.
They were engaged in installing a mobile phone BTS tower at Nambol Naorem.
They were hired by one contractor named Raja and they were being transported in a Tata Magic van by one Naorem Robindro.
After due information was passed to the JCILPS, all the 14 non-local labourers were handed over to Imphal police station, Tomba said.
