Imphal, October 25 2018:
Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) in collaboration with Kangla Diagnostic Centre conducted a medical camp on the occasion of World Polio Day, for small kids at Kakwa Nameirakpam Leikai, Imphal West district yesterday.
More than 250 people were provided treatment and extended various medical facilities by a team of Unit Medical Officer and staffs.
During the medical camp, a lecture to impart awareness about maintenance of healthy lifestyle was also conducted and medicines were distributed free of cost.
The local people appreciated the initiatives of Assam Rifles for providing medical assistance to the people.
Meanwhile, another Medical camp was organised at Shangshak village by Shangshak Battalion today.
More than 300 patients were attended by the doctors and provided requisite medicines.
Entertainment and awareness films for youth was also screened in the camp which was participated by Commandant Shangshak Battalion and Medical Officers.
