Imphal, October 25 2018:
The Government has asked all departments concerned to update details of Central schemes being implemented by them under the sponsorship of different Ministries in the data base.
With the Additional Chief Secretary (RD&PR) in the chair, a meeting was held on October 22 where progresses of Central sponsored schemes being implemented in the State were reviewed, informed a source.
The meeting deliberated on reaping maximum benefits out of the Central sponsored schemes and it was also decided to instruct all relevant departments to update details of all schemes in the data base.
It would be easier for the State Government to secure release of next instalment funds if the details are updated in the data base in time and it would help the Planning Department to initiate necessary measures for expediting schemes implemented in the State, said the source.
The Government has instructed all administrative Secretaries, Directors, Chief Engineers, Managing Directors and Project Directors of all departments concerned to submit detailed reports of the Central sponsored schemes being implemented by them to the Planning Department by October 29 .
The Planning Department has been seeking such details as the amounts released by the Central Government for Central sponsored schemes during 2018-19, the full amounts, expenditures made so far, proposals for second instalment, if any, any delay on the part of the Central Government in releasing funds and the reasons thereof etc.
All departments concerned have been further instructed to submit proposals for new Central sponsored schemes, if there are any, to the Planning Department within a week, conveyed the source.
