Covid infects two more, four discharged

Imphal, September 30 2022:
The state on Friday reported two new positive cases of Covid-19 from two districts out of 121 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering a positivity rate of 1.7 per cent.
The two fresh cases (female) are residents of Kangpokpi and Ukhrul districts.
Friday also reported four recoveries following which the number of active cases came down to 9 out of which 8 are in home isolation.
There are 38 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 62 in RIMS.
No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,810 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 32 D-type and 8 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 1844 vaccine doses administered taking the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,43,834, out of which 13,25,944 had received the second dose and 2,66,893 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49817), Imphal East (32035), Thoubal (10293), Churachandpur (11285), Kangpokpi (3185), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9978), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3367), Kakching (6976), Chandel (2796), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1212), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (477).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (712), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (52), Kakching (124), Chandel (43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
