With report of missing two-wheelers and light four-wheeler vehicles, Imphal city is no more safe for leaving vehicles park at the public place.
Complaints of missing vehicles mostly two-wheelers are coming up every in the City and Imphal police stations which cover the Imphal city.
Police are registering at least one case on the average everyday related with thieving of vehicle in the last few day in this area of only around 3 km square kilometer, a police officer in state police Crime Investigation Department (CID) said adding at on December 15, four cases of missing of vehicles including three two-wheelers and a four-wheeler light vehicle registered with the two police stations.
Yesterday also registered a case on the missing of a two-wheeler from Imphal Palace Compound, he added.
Sources in the police said that a car, three two-wheelers and a bicycle belonging to a postman's were registered during the last two days in Imphal Police Station and City Police Station.
A silver metallic colour Maruti Car -800 (MN07-3646) parked in front of the Royal Lodge near Raj polyclinic, North AOC under Imphal police station was stole away by unknown on Tuesday, at about 8 am.
Following a complaint lodged by the owner of the vehicle Loli Mao of Keibi village, Imphal police registered a case yesterday.
The car is worth around Rs 80,000 as per the owner's complaint to the police.
Thieves also intruded in the houses of individuals at the night time to take away vehicles.
A motorcycle (Bajaj Pulser brand) parked at garage of a resident of Loklaobung had been stolen on the night of December 14 .

Meanwhile, Wednesday at about 9.30 am a bicycle belonging to a postmaster of the Imphal head post office has been stolen away by unknown while he was going to the deliver a speed post courier to a customer.
While taking away the bicycle 31 articles with speed post orders to be delivered to Thangal Bazar also included.
The post master, Th Mani had lodged a complaint with the city police station regarding the missing of articles while stealing away his bicycle.
The incidents occurred amidst the recent report arresting thieves red-handed with domestic fowls (ducks) in two times by the personnel of the city police on night duty around the city area.
The reports have indicated that some thieves (may be group or individuals) are roaming round the city and its peripheries for stealing goods.
