Avoid travelling to other districts: ACODOM

All Community Development Organisation Moreh (ACODOM) has appealed to the public of Moreh and employees posted in the border town to avoid travelling to other districts as much as possible to contain COVID transmission.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held today, president of ACODOM, Th Budha Meitei further stated that those who visited other districts out of necessity to get tested for COVID-19 compulsorily before returning to the town.
Regarding the distribution of NFSA foodgrains, Th Budha said that distributing more rice to cardholders is akin to discriminating non-cardholders, especially at these trying times, considering that the pandemic affects all.
Th Budha asked the State Government to distribute an equal amount of foodgrains to both NFSA cardholders and non-cardholders.
Continuing that Moreh being a non-arable town is hit hard by the prolonged imposition of lockdown, he urged the State Government to address the grievances of Moreh populace at the earliest.
The ACODOM president also claimed that several shops in the town sell foods and other items at an exorbitant rate in complete disregard of the prices fixed by the Government.
