Solar lights to be provided to remote areas in Thanlon

Following with inspection tour of Thanlon Assembly Constituency areas by MLA Shri Vungzagin Valte and District Level Officers recently, Churachandpur Deputy Commissioner Lunminthang Haokip IAS assured that solar lights will be provided at the remote areas where there is no electricity through the concerned BDOs.
In a press interaction with media person at his office chamber, the DC said Thanlon Sub-division of Churachandpur district is in dire need of basic infrastructures.
Thanlon Assembly Constituency MLA had asked the SDPO to submit the requirements of the people to the Deputy Commissioner through Superintendent of Police Churachandpur, he said.
The site selection for opening of Police Stations are at Leijangphai, Mualnuam, Sinjawl, Pherjawl, and Palkhuang villages will also be taken up at the early date.
Elaborating his point, the DC Churachandpur said the progress of work on Songtal-Kangkap road, under Thanlon sub-division of Churachandpur district is assessed as 40 percent complete by October.
Lunminthang said that the concerned Executive Engineer has been urged to speed up works during this dry season.
