Chandel Molestation Case: Oppn leaders to meet CM

A delegation of Opposition parties would be meeting Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh to discuss the issue of Chandel molestation case and others on February 14 at around 2pm.Taking serious note of the silent attitude of the State as well as the Central Government over the Chandel molestation case even after a delegation of All Political Parties met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde urging them to arrest the culprit Livingstone Anal and hand him over to the State Government, a meeting of the Opposition Parties including CPI, BSP, BJP, MSCP and JD(U)was convened on February 10 at the office of BJP, Manipur State Unit at Nityaipat Chuthek.
The meeting unanimously agreed to assign Dr M Nara to fix an appointment with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh.
In the meeting with the Chief Minister on February 14, the Opposition leaders would be bringing up the issue of the Chandel Molestation case once again and the commitment given by the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister for doing the needful.
The Opposition leaders would also be enquiring over the assurance of the government to destroy all the designated camps of NSCN-IM in the State, if there are any.
