Police case against erratic census data

Senapati district police has registered a case against Kasari Basu of the Media Computer Service LLP-13 India Exchange engaged in the data entry of Bio-metric process of Census 2011 in Senapati district, in the alleged manipulation of data in respect of Makhrelui village.
Controversy arose over the bio-metric process when Makhrelui village was found inserted as Makhrelui Bollen Kuki and Viewland Bollen Kuki etc.
even though the villages no longer exist.
Police registered the case after the secretary of the Makhrelui Village Authority, A Adani Kharasi lodged a complaint alleging Kasari Basu and his company of wrong fully entering the name of Makhrelui village in the biometric process of the Census Operation 2011.The FIR case was lodged on April 3 .
The alleged manipulation came to light in the final print of facts and copies of the 'Acknowledgment Receipt' of the bio-metrics issued by the official/staff engaged in the census exercise in respect of Makhrelui village.
The Naga People Organization's Committee on Census 2011 had alleged the Senapati District Administration of intentionally manipulating the data with hidden designs and motives.
The committee had, on April 1 last, submitted a complaint to the Deputy Commissioner who is also the District Principal Operation Census, demanding immediate cancellation of the on-going process and also booking of the culprits at the earliest.
