CCpur, April 05 2019:
NPF candidate in Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency Dr Lorho Pfoze today likened the problems besetting the State to a thorn in the body and promised to work for removing the same if he is elected.
Addressing the press today at the residence of his party's Churachandpur president, Lorho said every other tribal community in the State as well as the majority Meitei community have different set of aspirations and interests.
The same is true for the armed groups, and as such they have to be dealt with to find their own solution.
Unless that happens, the current state of affairs which is akin to having a thorn in the body will persist with the discontent of every community set to linger, he said.
After the 2019 poll the Government at the Centre is likely to hear the problems of the State and it will then be crucial to present the State's problem in the correct perspective, and needs someone who can do the same in its true sense, he added.
The NPF he said is the only party that stood by the tribal people when the then Congress Government passed '3 anti tribal Bills' .
Further projecting the party as pro tribal, he said the NPF will work to strengthen the existing ADC financially and otherwise.
It will also fight for a separate budget provision under 371C, among other things he said.

This will ensure the expectation of the voters and bring social changes in our society.
