Thokchom Jogendrajit selected for IIS post

Imphal, July 17 2012:
Thokchom Jogendrajit has been selected for the post of Senior Grade of Indian Information Service, a cadre post of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The recruitment is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) .
Out of the 11 post advertised for recruitment, only 7 candidates have been selected and Jogendrajit is the lone selected candidate from North East region.
Thokchom Jogendrajit Singh, s/o late Th Kunjamani Singh of Luwangshangbam Makha Leikai started his career as a reporter of Hueiyen Lanpao daily.
He was also the collector and presenter for the Weekly Sports Rounds up programme on AIR, Imphal and a casual Translator and Proof reader for PIB, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Imphal on honorarium basis.
A holder of Master's degree in Mass Communication from Manipur University, Jogendrajit also completed a PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from the same University.
He is also a recipient of Young Communicator Award, 2008 presented by SIMC, Pune, Maharashtra, India.
