Workshops gutted

Three carpentry workshops located at Yaiskul Moibunglokpa Leikai were gutted in the wee hours of today.
According to information culled from the spot, the fire erupted from one of the three workshops at about 12.30 am and it is suspected that the fire erupted from electric short circuit.
The three carpentry workshops ravaged by fire were run by Dillip of Thoubal Athokpam, RK Manisana of Yaiskul Janmasthan and Gopen of Wangkhei while the plots belong to RK Kumarjit of Yaiskul Moibunglokpa.
The raging fire spread to the neighbouring RCC building and damaged its doors, windows and GI sheet-roof.
The fire was finally put out by a team of Manipur Fire Service at about 5.30 am today.
It is feared that goods worth several lakhs of rupees were gutted by the fire.
