Assembly session from June 27 to July 15

Imphal, June 20 2012:
A meeting of the Business Advisory Commitee of the Manipur Legislative Assembly convened with Speaker Th Lokeshwar in the chair today has decided to conduct the 2nd session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly from June 27 to July 15 .
However, there would be only 12 sittings with Saturday and Sunday being holiday.
Besides, June 29 would also be holiday on account of Kanglen.
There would not be any discussion on the first day of the session as there would be only obituary reference on that day.
According to reliable sources, even though today's meeting decided not to introduce any bill during the Assembly session, the ruling party may come up with any bills, which are pending introduction for discussion, since the duration of the Assembly session is long enough.
The House would discuss the address of Governor Gurbachan Jagat on the second day of the session.
Chief Minister O Ibobi, who is also in charge of Finance Minister would introduce State budget 2012-13 and the same will be discussed from the following day onwards.
