All Manipur Recognized Private Schools Welfare Association today endorsed the order of the state authority bringing the academic session on par with the national pattern from current year 2010 but stated that the next session will begin from second week of March next.
The body took the decision to commence the session from second week of March so as to cover the syllabus of the current academic session, said chief advisor N Tomba of the All Manipur Recognized Private Schools Welfare Association speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul.
Tomba, welcoming the decision of the state government to commence academic session from April like that of schools under CBSE from the current year, said the association will abide by the order.
The association will abide by the order of the state government issued from time to time but they wanted the result of exams like HSLC, HSSLC declared on time.
They will also spare teachers for enumeration of answer scripts of the exams.
With regard to controversy on the collection of monthly fee, the matter is under discussion in the association for formula which would be agreeable to all, he said appealing to all concern not to go to Consumers' Club or any other authorities but to inform the association directly.
The association also decided to hike the tuition fees by 20 to 30 percent as per the facilities and other infrastructures provided by the school from the next session.
The association is compelled to hike the fees on the backdrop of hike in the prices of essential commodities.
On the other hand, the system of transfer of students from one school to other enforced in the state is causing great inconveniences to the school authorities, Tomba observed, urging the state government to find a policy by registering students Class-I to VII to the board.
For the association, it has already been decided that after completing all formalities, a transfer certificate will be issued to students before March 15 of every year.
M Pabirkumar as president along with other office bearers were elected for a three year term of the Association which has 210 private schools as members.
