SHIPS to organize Sadar Hills school festival

For the first time in the history of Sadar Hills education, the first ever Sadar Hills school festival will be organized by the Sadar Hills Private Schools Association (SHIPS) underthetheme, "Celebration of Unity" on October 1 at Songpao-Lhinghat Memorial Higher Secondary School, Salem Sapormeina, SHIPS secretary, Dennis Misao said that the main purpose of organizing the festival is to share a common platform to showcase the natural talents and rich cultural heritage of the school children of Sadar Hills and to observe a day of fun and celebration among the member schools away from their daily busy school schedule.
As part of the festival, prizes will be awarded to long-serving teachers of Sadar hills who have served for 2 decades and more in private schools, in recognition of their vital role in diligently moulding the youth of Sadar Hills in spite of many hardships, he added.
The festival will be graced by ADC Sadar Hill Chairman Haokholal Hangshing as chief guest, vice chairman Thangjakam Misao and Addl DC Sadar Hills Th Manihar Singh as guests of honour while SR Robert Principal of Ideal English Senior Secondary School, Charhajare will attend as functional
president.
