Imphal, September 22 2016:
Clarifying the reportedly incident which broke out at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Kangleipak Students' Union has today clarified that certain allegations made against the student body were nothing but an attempt to tarnish the image of KSA.
Speaking to reporters at its office, KSA HRD secretary Angouton Khuman said that the incident broke out due to negligence of the students' demand by the school authority.
"The students have been demanding to include a post of a secretary finance in the upcoming school election.
However, teachers and school authority flatly refused," he said.
Rubbishing the allegation of thrashing some school students by KSA executive members, Angouton Khuman said, "The allegation is baseless because KSA executive members, who have been working for the welfare and development of the students, had never resorted to such act and put the students at risk" .
Commenting on the reported entry ban on KSA by Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School authority, Angouton said that the decision is unfair and unreasonable.
"Teachers and school authority should never treat the students partially.
The Education (S) Department should initiate steps to ensure the school election is conducted peacefully and in unbiased manner," he added.
