May Day greetings

Chief Minister N Biren Singh has extended greetings to the people of Manipur on International Worker's Day which is celebrated on May 1.More popularly known as May Day, International Worker's Day marks the celebration of labourers and working class worldwide and also commemorates past labour struggles against worker's rights violations, the CM reminded.
He expressed his gratitude to the working class and all wage earners and bread earners for their cooperation shown to the Government during this time of crisis.
He also thanked the good Samaritans, CSOs, social workers and the common man who stepped up to help labourers, the poor and the needy and motivated all to come out of this challenge together.
Meanwhile, Education and Labour & Employment Minister Th Radheshyam also extended his greetings and expressed profound admiration to the working people.
In his message, the Minister said that working people are the backbone of the economy and May 1 is dedicated to workers to celebrate the priceless contributions by them.
He also reminded all to continue maintaining social distance, frequently wash hands and wear face masks without fail, saying that the fight against COVID-19 can be achieved only through strict discipline.
