Couple thrashed, robbed at Kyamgei Khoirom Leikai

In a shocking incident, a man and his wife, who were coming home after the day's work, were beaten and robbed by unidentified miscreants at Kyamgei Khoirom Leikai
yesterday.
The incident occurred at around 8 pm yesterday near the water supply gate at Kyamgei Khoirom Leikai while the couple identified as Thingujam Ingocha (52) s/o late Th Tomba of Kyamgei Khoirom Leikai and his wife Thingujam Ongbi Renubala (47), were coming home from their shop.
The injured couple was rushed to RIMS by the locals.
They were later referred to Shija Hospital as the condition of Tomba became serious.
Reports reaching Hueiyen Lanpao said that the couple was beaten up by the around 4/5 unidentified persons who were waiting for them near the water supply gate at Kyamgei Khoirom Leikai.
The unidentified persons stopped the couple and asked about their identification.
After knowing that they were owner of Stationary shop in front of MU main gate, one of the miscreants hit Ingocha and his wife on their heads by a wooden log, took away the gold ring of Ingocha and the gold necklace of his wife and fled from the scene.
Meanwhile, Kyamgei Huirom Leikai Youth Social Club has strongly condemned the barbarous act carried out by miscreants on Ingocha and his wife.
