Nature cure medicines distributed

Manipur state Vector Born Disease Control Society in association with the Directorate of Health Services today distributed medicated mosquito nets and nature cure medicines to the healthcare centres.
Health and Family Welfare Minister, L Jayentakumar who handed over the items urged the doctors to discharge their duties sincerely keeping in mind the ethics of the profession asserting that patients relieve themselves even when they see doctors coming.
The minister said that since he takes over the charge of health and family welfare department, he had inspected some healthcare centres in Chandel, Ukhrul, Tamenglong and Senapati.
He finds shortage of doctors, nurses and other staffs in various primary and health centres and sub-centres apart from having poor infrastructures.
Despite having appointed 330 doctors by the government through MPSC recently, there is still the need for more doctors.
Government is considering for conducting fresh recruitment drive again, he said.
Health commissioner, V Vumlhunmang, mission director of State Health Society, NHRM, PK Jah, director of health services, S Ibomcha, family welfare director, L Joykumar were among other who attended the function.
