One new case takes caseload to two

Imphal, December 08 2022:
After a gap of four days, the state on Thursday reported one new positive case of Covid-19 out of 82 samples tested in the last 24 hours, with a positivity rate of 1.2 per cent, thus, taking the number of active cases to two, as government bulletins reported no recovery.
The lone fresh case is a female resident of Imphal West district.
Out of the two active cases, one is in home isolation.
No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2149 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,920 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 94 vaccine doses were administered and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 16,48,541, out of which 13,37,033 had received the second dose and 2,79,068 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49850), Imphal East (32066), Thoubal (10299), Churachandpur (11294), Kangpokpi (3188), Tamenglong.
