AR briefs MEET aspirants, assures to aid rehab centre

Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted an interaction and motivational lecture for students appearing for NEET and presently studying at Assam Rifles Centre of Educational Excellence, Kangvai on Wednesday.
According PRO IGAR (S), Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) Maj Gen Rajan Sharawat briefed the students about the security, health education and stress management while preparing for NEET examination during the interaction.
They were also explained about the nuances of the procedure for joining the Indian Armed Forces including physical and academic requirements and the selection process for various types of entries in the Armed Forces as officers in medical corps.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session in which queries raised by the students were answered.
A total of 30 girls are being trained for a duration of one year for the upcoming exam.
Meanwhile, Moreh Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted an interaction with the inmates of Adullam Rehabilitation Centre for Drug Abusers at H Munnom village, Moreh on Thursday.
COB T Minou of Moreh Battalion organised an interaction and listened to inmates' real life experiences.
The aim was to instil a sense of confidence in them and also the trust in society so that they can garner strength to fight the addiction and assimilate back into the society.
At the outset, any possible help was also offered to the centre so that they can continue to work for this noble act, the PRO informed in another release.
