Government Dance College's play grabs attention at Sangai Festival

Imphal, November 21 2018:
A play, "Eikhoi Amattani - Punna Chatminnasi Chaokhat Maikei Paangna" which literally translated to We are one - Let us all move towards development, presented by the Government Dance College Manipur has grabbed the attention of the viewers on the opening day of the Sangai Festival at Bheigyachandra Open Air Theatre (BOAT) today.
The play 60 minutes was choreographed by Senior Lecturer of Government Dance College Gurumayum Loken Sharma and participated by about 190 on stage artists.
Altogether about 208 artists and crew (backstage) carefully performed the play.
The performance was presented under the aegis of Department of Art and Culture.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, Gurumayum Loken said that the play gave the message of oneness.
It encouraged all sections of society and every community within the State to move together towards development and prosperity.
It advocated good work ethics and culture.
The play also depicted the aged relationship strong bonds among the people of the hills and valley, he said.
Delegates from other countries and outside States attended the programme.
Manipur Sangai Festival will continue till November 30 .
