Kuki outfits indulge in illegal activities behind SoO: Gaikhangam

Imphal, August 20 2013:
The State Govt has received reports of Kuki outfits making ransom and carrying out other illegal activities under the shadow of Suspension of Operation (SoO), Dy CM Gaikhangam told media persons at the Congress Bhavan here today.
He further said that the Government would raise the issue at the meeting of Joint Monitoring Group (JMG) and prevent the SoO signatory outfits from indulging in such illegal activities.
When asked about the killing of a van driver Okram Gyanandro of Singjamei Okram Leikai, Gaikhangam said that the police are investigating into the case and would submit a report soon.
