Grocer intimidated

Imphal, August 20 2013:
One Konjengbam Rajen (53) of Kwakeithek Konjeng Mayai Leikai who runs a grocery shop near his home was intimidated by some unidentified persons by gifting him a bullet.
Earlier, Rajen used to manufacture Ngari.
The bullet sealed inside an envelope was placed at his shop this morning.
The envelope also contained a piece of paper inscribed with the words "You should come to Sekmai river by August 19 else..." although today is August 20 .
Rajen was served a demand note of Rs three lakhs by KCP (president group) in the first week of the current month.
The demand letter was jointly signed by the outfit's president Ningamba Meitei and finance secretary Purel Meitei.
Meanwhile, local people staged a protest demonstration later in the day denouncing the act of gifting bullet and intimidating civilians.
