Jiri-Tupul Railway Tunnel No 10 'breakthrough blast programme'

The Northeast Frontier Railway have accomplished another achievement with the Jiri-Tupul Railway Tunnel No 10 'blast programme' which was conducted on Saturday.
Railway sources said the programme was held under COA/CON/II Surinder Pal in presence of Mohan Lal (CE/C/VII/MLG) and Kumar (DY/C/II/JIRIBM), the construction agency chief functionary and other key staff members of Coastal Project Ltd - HCC (JV) .

Sources said the railway team expressed its satisfaction with the works undertaken by Coastal Project Ltd and the progress of works at the sites in Manipur.
Pointing out the quality of works undertaken in Manipur, railway authorities appeal all to render full support to their works in future.
So far, some tunnels have been successfully excavated and completed.
One of the tunnels is billed as the longest tunnel with 3km 232m in length at Khambiron area, said sources.
